FAQ's Will we see a ghost? Do we get out of the vehicle and go inside places? Due to public liability and security issues it is difficult to gain access to haunted locations. However, on the Parramatta, Windsor and Canberra tours we go into the grounds or outside a couple of haunted locations. The Sydney and Windsor tours both go into the haunted cellars of a historic hotel. How many can you take and what if there are only two of us? We can take a maximum of twenty on the Sydney tours and nineteen on the Canberra tour. You don't have to book all seats (unless you want the whole vehicle to yourselves) as there will be others along. We need a minimum of 15 to make it viable for us to run the tour. How often do the tours run? Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest nights, but tours often run during the week as well if there are enough persons. How far ahead should we book? For a big group on a Saturday night we suggest you book several weeks ahead. If there's only two of you then we should be able to fit you in with less notice. What about payment? If the tour is
only a couple of weeks away we require payment in full when booking.
Otherwise we require 50% deposit and the balance two weeks prior. Sorry we
don't allow persons to pay cash on the night, it must be prepaid. What's your refund policy? No refunds for no-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours prior to departure. In other cases a 10% fee is retained. Are there any special deals? Unless stated otherwise, 10% discount applies if you book all seats with one payment. (Not applicable to Canberra tours). Do I need to bring anything? A camera is a good idea, and wear sensible enclosed shoes. What if it rains? The tour will still run unless the weather is extreme and it is deemed unsafe to continue (this has only happened one time). Can we bring a bottle of beer, wine or champagne with? Sorry our vehicles are tourist vehicles and it is a Ministry of Transport regulation that consumption of alcohol is not permitted in tourist vehicles unless the operator agrees. Why do you not agree to allow consumption of alcohol in your tourist vehicles? For the same
reason we do not allow persons adversely affected by alcohol or drugs on
the tour. Because we are running a ghost and history tour, not a party
bus. Some persons will be trying to listen to the commentary and find
noisy drunken persons annoying and objectionable. We also do not want to
have to make numerous stops for you to have a pee, or have persons
spilling drinks or being sick in our vehicles. There are also safety
issues here and safety for our passengers is a primary concern. No
exceptions to this rule. If you cannot enjoy a night out without being
fuelled by alcohol then just go to the pub, not on our tour. How long have you been doing the tours? Since early 2001.
